Ph.D. Anna Golke

Anna Golke is currently employed as an Assistant Professor at the Division of Immunology, Department of Preclinical Sciences, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Main area of her scientific interest concerns the innate immune response in viral and bacterial infections. During her doctoral studies she was investigating the effect of herpesviral infections (EHV-1 – equine herpesvirus type 1) on the innate immune response in neurons. Currently, she is involved in a project concerning the influence of training on cytokine production and susceptibility to EHV-1 infections in racing horses. In her research she is working on multiple cell cultures, including primary cell cultures of leukocytes.
